Agreed that customer is king, but when you have a Royal guest, you’re left feeling honored and proud. Whistling Woodzs Resort is always bustling with fervor. But some days are more special than the rest. We felt honored to host Chhatrapati Shivendra Raje Bhosle, MLA (Satara), and the descendent of the royal Maratha clan of Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. It was a day of much joy for all of us at Whistling Woodzs to welcome him along with his friends. Ch. Shivendra Raje is a force to reckon with in Maratha politics and as the sitting MLA of Satara, he enjoys the respect of his people like no one else. For years, Ch. Shivendra Raje has been working hard for his constituency, and what a delight it was to see him enjoy some peaceful moments at the resort. In today’s age, one would reminisce that his devotion towards social service goes back centuries, connecting the dots all the way back to his legendary ancestor. One would definitely feel proud to see the legacy being carried forward gloriously. Moments like these turn to golden memories for all of us. What we cherish is his wonderful words of appreciation for the tranquility of the property which he absolutely loved. What’s more, he was all praise for our scrumptious food and gushed about the splendid rides and water sports which his friends enjoyed the most. As is his reputation, the royal Shivendra Raje was in his usual self, modest, humorous, calm, and composed, with not an iota of airs around him. He mingled with people and posed for pictures. We feel honored to have been humble hosts for the Royal guest.
